The 11th annual Road to Freedom Walk begins at Gould Park at 1pm. A parade led by fife and drum and costumed reenactors traces the same route through the village taken by Continental Army soldiers on Aug. 19, 1781, en route to the decisive Battle of Yorktown (Va.). The procession ends at the Mead House, 12 Elm St., home of the Historical Society, at 2pm, where entertainment for all ages includes folk costumed performers, historical artifacts, demonstrations of 18th-century fashion and makeup, and refreshments. Admission is free. Call 674-1007 or visit www.dobbsferryhistory.org.
